The casting calls span a wide range of roles, including supporting characters such as Samantha (female, 20-35), Elder Duane (male, 35-55), and a bartender (female, 40-60). The role of Charlotte (female, 25-35) appears in multiple separate casting calls. Other specific roles include soccer players, political office aides, and “very tall mountain men & woman types” who must be able to work locally to New York City. Background and extra roles are also being filled in various locations. Specific casting sites include Grapevine, Dallas, Keller, Southlake, and Carrollton, Texas; New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Shreveport, Louisiana; and Fort Lauderdale and Miami, Florida. In the New York City area, including Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and Jersey City, productions are seeking 1880s National Guardsmen, parade goers, and dignitaries. Specialized background roles include a photo double for a Black male actor, a hand/body double for a white male actor, and “very fit/athletic spy types.” The list also features a call for “real people” to play housemates in a reality TV show. While the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports the list covers casting nationwide, The Avery Journal-Times notes the list includes projects in Asheville and nearby cities.
